Statement from Sesotec on “Overcoming the COVID-19 Crisis”
Dear readers,
It has been a year since the beginning of the pandemic, and one thing is clear: the coronavirus will continue to disrupt our lives for some time still. We must carry on and adapt as best we can, even if it means adopting fundamental changes in behavior and attitude.
Living in the time of COVID-19 is a test of endurance. Many people are finding it increasingly difficult to adhere to prescribed safety precautions, and are having trouble adapting to this trying situation. Fatigue is understandable, but the coronavirus does not rest. It presents us with few opportunities to make up for past shortcomings.
Successfully defeating COVID-19 will require discipline and persistence. This presents a challenge to humankind, for whom each new generation brings an ever faster pace of life. But beating this virus requires us to persevere over a prolonged period of time. We must continue to push back against attitudes that do not take public health measures seriously. We have the power to beat this crisis – that much is certain. It is simply a question of will.
We have much to gain through the use of intelligent, digital solutions. They can help us seize this moment to lay the groundwork for a sustainable, climate-friendly economy. Herein lies the potential to secure growth and prosperity for the future.
This pandemic is bringing about new opportunities, business models, and corporate cultures. Our task is to align ourselves with the direction of change.
