At Sesotec, numerous colleagues have written impressive success stories. Our corporate culture promotes innovation, collaboration and continuous learning, which makes such success stories possible. One example is Johann Süß, whose journey from electronics technician to e-designer shows how commitment, openness and teamwork lead to success at Sesotec. Discover how our employees achieve their professional goals and shape the future together with us.
This is what Johann says about his success story at Sesotec
After ten years in the German Armed Forces, I started at Sesotec on October 1, 2018 as an electronics technician for optical systems. In the Final Assembly Sorting department, I started with the construction of electrical assembly panels, continued with the wiring and commissioning of devices and finally worked on highly complex sensors. In 2019, I completed further training to become a “lean expert”.
After two years, I was offered a vacant position as an electrical design engineer in the RAYCON division. Thanks to the support of my superiors, I took up this position on April 1, 2020.
I found the work on the NIR sensors particularly challenging and exciting. Every time a functioning sensor was completed, I felt it was a personal success.
Another highlight was when I joined the X-ray department. Supporting the X-ray department as an electrical designer brought with it new types of equipment, technical challenges posed by X-ray technology and responsibility for creating circuit diagrams. Helping to design production processes was just as fulfilling. With my expertise as an electrical designer, I was able to contribute to the development of new technologies and automation projects. Close coordination with the relevant departments and fast decision-making processes were crucial here.
My personal motto is: “Don't be afraid of change.” This means: always remain curious and willing to learn new things. With the necessary commitment, openness and willingness to learn, you can overcome even seemingly insurmountable hurdles. At Sesotec, I particularly like the fact that innovation is valued, encouraged and quickly implemented together, as well as being firmly anchored in the company culture. That's why it's crucial to get actively involved and not be afraid of change.
