Every granule counts


Sitraplas GmbH in Bünde produces around 2,600 t of compounds annually from high-tech materials based on PMMA, PC, ABS, ASA or PBT, around 80% of which are used in the automotive industry.

The problem: The industry's demands on the purity of the materials are enormous. Metallic impurities are a no-go. If metal particles are rejected, good material is also rejected, which is neither economically nor ecologically justifiable. Tim Hencken explains, in an interview with K-PROFI editor, Dipl.-Ing.
