Sesotec GmbH, a leading mechanical engineering company in the fields of foreign object detection and material sorting with around 740 employees worldwide, appointed Niklas Burkart to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on August 1, 2023.
Joachim Schulz, CEO of Sesotec, is delighted that there is now once again a "trio" on the Executive Board: "With Niklas Burkart, we are welcoming a financial expert with many years of experience as our new CFO. His expertise in all aspects of corporate finance and his experience in digitalization projects and the management of complex transformation programs are important reinforcements for Sesotec to ensure its success in the future."
After studying business administration at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and graduating with a degree in business administration, his professional career took him to Infineon Technologies, Airbus AG and its subsidiaries in Germany, France and the USA, among others.
He was Director of Finance and Purchasing at iic group GmbH in Munich and Cologne and Managing Partner and CFO at Automotive Partners Europe GmbH in Munich from January 2020 to July 2023.
Niklas Burkart himself comments on his new position at Sesotec as follows "The current situation in mechanical engineering with rapidly changing markets, rising costs and technological pressure to innovate is demanding and challenging, but this also presents numerous opportunities and potential for growth.
